A size exchange is easier when the sleepwear stays in its original condition and the important order details are close at hand. Before removing tags, washing, or setting packaging aside, take a few minutes to confirm the fit and review the current store policy.

This checklist is not a replacement for the retailer's return and exchange terms. It is a practical way to keep your options open while you decide whether another size may feel better.

Keep Tags, Packaging, and Order Details Together

Leave attached tags in place until you are comfortable with the size. Keep the original packaging, order confirmation, product name, selected color, and size together. These details help customer support identify the exact item without unnecessary back-and-forth.

Do not wash, alter, perfume, or repair the garment while you are deciding. Review the current refund and return policy for condition, timing, and contact requirements.

Try the Piece on Carefully and Briefly

Use clean, dry hands and follow the retailer's try-on requirements. Adjust straps only within their normal range. Stand, sit, and take a few ordinary steps so you can notice whether the garment pulls, twists, rides up, or limits movement.

Look for consistent fit rather than one perfect pose. If the garment feels comfortable while standing but tight while sitting, include that context when asking for help.

Write Down What Feels Off

Use specific notes such as “the straps are at their longest setting,” “the side seam pulls when seated,” or “the neckline sits comfortably but the hem feels shorter than expected.” This is more useful than describing the whole garment as simply too small or too large.

Compare Measurements Before Choosing the Next Size

Measure yourself again with the same tape position used for the size chart. Compare your current measurements with the chart for the exact product, not a different style. Fabric stretch, adjustable straps, and silhouette can change how two pieces in the same labeled size feel.

Include the order number, product, color, current size, the fit concern, and the size you are considering.
